Quadding
The valleys and forests that surround the Little Smoky and Big Smoky Rivers offer great opportunities for quadding in the area. You can find great quad trails at the 5 Star Golf Course, near the Little Smoky River Bridge, and so on...

Boating & Rafting
With the Winagami Lake and both the Little Smoky and Big Smoky Rivers in the area, there is ample opportunity for boating and rafting. There is also a boat launch at Winagami Lake Provincial Park.

Walking Trails
Falher has a walking trail just south of the baseball diamonds which leads to the municipal campground. McLennan has 300 metres of gravelled paths that follow the Kimiwan Lake.

Hunting
Hunting is a favourite pastime in the area. The many valleys and forests make for great hunting. Wildlife in the area include moose, elk, whitetail deer, and mule deer. Many people also enjoy grouse hunting.

Snowmobiling
Due to the large amounts of snow during the winter months and the landscape of the region, the smoky river area is perfect for snowmobiling, a fun and popular pastime.
