The event features Santa and Mrs. Claus as the guests of honour. Between 1:30 and 2:30, people have a chance to get a picture taken with them and children are given goody bags. Other activities include face painting, draws for prizes, and a raffle.
The Christmas Affair Gala is the major fundraiser for the Smoky River Minor Hockey Association each year. The evening involves raffle ticket sales, a silent auction, signature drinks and a buffet dinner, followed by hockey themed entertainment, then music and dancing.

The Guy Bazaar is a supper prepared by the Guy community as an annual fundraiser. The supper consists of homemade meat pies, turkey, potatoes, salads, vegetables, and a variety of desserts. Also going on that night, there are bingo games with prizes, raffle ticket sales, and meat pie sales.
The event is held in the Centre Chevaliers beginning at 10am each year. Admission is free and pictures can be taken with Santa between 10am and 3pm. Other activities include over 70 vendors, balloon art, face painting, glitter tattoos, colouring, crafts, and tractor hay rides.
This incredibly diverse fair features seventy five booths with an array of talents, services, and goods. The fair includes vehicles, home decor, insurance retail, finance & investment, service groups, jewellery, fashion, cosmetics, and cooking.
Each year the ski hill has a fun end-of-season event. Originally, it was slush cup, which involved people attempting to cross a pit of slushy water. Next, it was downhill dummy, which involved people building a dummy and sending it down the hill to see whose was the fastest and the sturdiest. Recently, it has been snow cross, where children compete for best racing times and best tricks.
Come watch competitors from British Columbia and all over Alberta rush through a pit of mud with their trucks, quads, or whatever else they choose to bring.
